Why a complexus brachiocephalicus

There are two subclavian arteries, which are usually call left and right subclavian arteries. But, in fact, these two arteries are not symmetrical and are not the members of a pair, making the usage of left and right slightly missleading. The left subclavian artery is directly attached to the aortic arch, but the right subclavian artery is attached to the brachiocephalic artery, though variations between individuals are not rare. Other differences are present.

For these reasons, it was necessary to build the brachiocephalic cluster, because a cluster implies no constrains on its parts on the contrary of pairs and sets. A pair entity cannot be the child of two single entities! The pair of subclavian arteries can now be a direct child of the cluster.
